The purpose of this course is to provide student teachers with basic
knowledge of ICT-related concepts and using ICT in education and to prepare
them to teach ICT in primary and middle schools. While the course includes
practical sessions on how to use computer applications, a number of strands
provides student teachers knowledge on basic ICT, media and information
literacy, digital citizenship, and Internet and communication. The course will
also provide student teachers with an understanding of the linkages of ICT with
other subjects’ learning areas and how ICT can be effectively used in
education.
