Overview of the course
The course is organised into the following modules:

After completing this course, teacher educators will be better equipped to develop the competencies that they will need to effectively deliver the Year 1 Semester 1 curriculum of the Pre-service Teacher Education Programme.

By completing this course, teacher educators will be able to
- demonstrate their understanding of the new pre-service teacher education curriculum;
- gain an understanding of key concepts such as inclusion, gender equality, and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD);
- apply appropriate teaching and learning strategies and assessment approaches across subjects;
- apply the skills in integrating ICT in their teaching practice to effectively support student teachers’ learning process; and
- use a competency-based approach in the implementation of new pre-service teacher education curriculum.
