The overall objective of this Year 1 Semester 2 Physical Education
course is to ensure that student teachers are prepared to teach the primary
Physical Education curriculum as defined in Basic Education in Myanmar. They
will learn to academic standard equivalent to primary and middle school level
in order to ensure a strong subject proficiency foundation for being effective
teachers for primary school students (United Nations Educational, Scientific
and Cultural Organisation, n.d.).
