Course Description

This course is a part of "Year 1 Semester 2 E-Learning Course for Teacher Educators - Pre-service Teacher Education Programme".

Year 1 Semester 2 E-Learning Course for Teacher Educators - Pre-service Teacher Education Programme is organised into the following modules:

• Module 1: Learning Outcomes, Success Criteria and SMART Learning Outcomes
• Module 2: Planning Effective Teaching
• Module 3: Inclusive Practice in the Classroom
• Module 4: Assessment Approaches
• Module 5: Inclusive Assessment and Assessment Rubrics

In this course, we will study Module 1, which covers the following topics. 

Module 1

Module 1.1. Success Criteria

• What are success criteria?
• Developing success criteria 
• Evaluating success criteria

Module 1.2. SMART Learning Outcomes

• What are SMART learning outcomes?
• Identifying and evaluating SMART learning outcomes
• Developing SMART learning outcomes.

Course Objectives

After completing this course, teacher educators will be better equipped with the competencies to effectively deliver the Pre-service Teacher Education Year 1 Semester 2 curriculum.

Learning Outcomes

By completing this course, teacher educators will be able to

• link success criteria to learning outcomes in the Year 1 Semester 2 TGs; 
• develop and evaluate success criteria for example lessons;
• identify and evaluate SMART learning outcomes for Year 1 Semester 2 subjects; and
• develop SMART learning outcomes for different subject areas.

Assessment and Certification

In order to get the certification, you need to finish all the course work, quizzes and final assessment.
