Year 1 Semester 2 E-Learning Course for Teacher Educators - Pre-service Teacher Education Programme is organised into the following modules:

• Module 1: Learning Outcomes, Success Criteria and SMART Learning Outcomes
• Module 2: Planning Effective Teaching
• Module 3: Inclusive Practice in the Classroom
• Module 4: Assessment Approaches
• Module 5: Inclusive Assessment and Assessment Rubrics

In this course, we will study Module 3, which covers the following topics.

Module 3.1. Inclusive Education

• Importance of inclusive education
• Key principles of inclusive education
• Language and diversity 

Module 3.2. Diversifying Teaching and Learning Materials

• Do it yourself (DIY) teaching and learning materials (TLM)
• Using DIY TLMs different subject areas .

After completing this course, teacher educators will be better equipped with the competencies to effectively deliver the Pre-service Teacher Education Year 1 Semester 2 curriculum.

By completing this course, teacher educators will be able to

• identify the importance and key principles of inclusive education; 
• identify how inclusive classroom strategies have been used in example lessons;
• identify some do-it-yourself (DIY) teaching and learning Materials (TLM) ideas; and
• utilize their understanding of DIY TLM to diversify example lesson activities.
