This course will prepare student teachers with the competencies required
to teach the Local Curriculum subject through modelling the values and
attitudes promoted in the basic education curriculum for the types of citizens
and society Myanmar envisions to create. It is important for student teachers
to comprehend the position of Local Curriculum in the new Basic Education
curriculum and in creating inclusive learning environment for all Myanmar
children, and how this curriculum is developed by and responds to local needs.
