Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants shall be able to:

  1. Discuss the concept of MIL in the context of Intercultural, Interfaith, and Interreligious Dialogues;
  2. Illustrate how MIL principles, strategies, and tools facilitate Intercultural, Interfaith, and Interreligious Dialogues;
  3. Examine the relevance of MIL in the context of monastic and ethnic education;
  4. Explain information disorder, hate speech, and discrimination in the context of Intercultural, Interfaith, and Interreligious relations;
  5. Illustrate how to integrate MIL in ethnic and monastic education policies, programmes, and teaching-learning strategies; and
  6. Develop and apply guidelines in developing culturally-sensitive teaching-learning strategies and tools for monastic and ethnic schools.

Learning Outcomes

  • Draft school policies on the integration of MIL subject or MIL concepts and strategies in monastic and ethnic schools’ curriculum;
  • Prototype teaching-learning activities and tools;
  • Draft guidelines in developing culturally-sensitive teaching-learning strategies and tools for monastic and ethnic schools; and
  • Mapping of MIL teaching-learning materials for monastic and ethnic educators.
