Course Objectives

After completing this course, teacher educators will be better equipped to develop the competencies that they will need to effectively deliver the Year 2 Semester 2 curriculum of the Pre-service Teacher Education Programme. 

Learning Outcomes

By completing this course, teacher educators will be able to - 

  • demonstrate their understanding of Myanmar’s education system, important curriculum agenda and key legislative and policy documents that are relevant to pre-service teachers;
  • demonstrate their understanding of educational philosophies and educational theories that are important in delivering the EDC Year 2 Semester 2 subjects/learning areas; and
  • plan, prepare and deliver their Year 2 Semester 2 subject/learning area, applying various teaching strategies and assessment approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners in EDC classrooms.
