Module 2: Preparing your own lesson plan using a sample template

2.2. Step-by-step guide to filling out the template

Course Objectives

This course enables you to create well-structured, engaging, and effective lesson plans tailored to your learners' needs, utilizing a provided template and best practices in lesson planning to equip the learners with skills that are relevant in this 21st Century.

Learning Outcomes

• Understand students’ needs in terms of prior knowledge, learning styles, and interests;
• Formulate SMART learning objectives for a lesson;
• Identify a variety of teaching and learning strategies;
• Understand the importance of allocating appropriate time for each part of the lesson from the beginning to the end;
• Understand the importance of using lesson plan templates;
• Identify key components of a lesson plan template; and
• Complete a lesson plan template.

Assessment and Certification

In order to get the certification, you need to finish all the course work, quizzes and final assessment.
